In 2006 the founders of Kite Centre Zanzibar and Mr. Kahawa visited Zanzibar for the very first time: backpacking and travelling through Africa in search for the best kite surf locations. As young adventurers, Melanie and Dim immediately fell in love with Zanzibars nature, the pristine beaches and the welcoming people, their kindness and relaxed attitude. Awesome spot on Paje beachfront. Always a good vibe at this place. Their food is excellent, and really fresh - with many vegan options. I loved the chickpea spinach curry, and the falafel wrap. You also have to try the coconut snow (lots of different flavours) for a delicious sweet treat on a hot day. Every Thursday night they have live music which is a lot of fun. Definitely recommend!

The most amazing stay at MR Kahawa Private Villa. If I could give 7 stars I would. This place is very nice for families with small kids. Chef Hamid spoiled us with the most incredible dishes. The week started with a menu and ended with him showing off his best curries and fresh fish recipes.
